The Solicitor General of Canada, under the authority of the Government of Canada, is responsible for the National Counter-Terrorism Plan. The plan establishes lines of communication and policy to guide officials in resolving a terrorist incident. It also describes the authorities and responsibilities of federal departments and agencies in a counter-terrorism situation, and outlines the legislation, conventions and agreements to which Canada is a party.
